Description:

This virtual group will provide support to Foster/adopt families who just want to connect with other foster/adopt families for community and understanding. It is so important for foster/adopt families to connect, support, and mentor each other. This group provides a safe place to do so.  

Research shows that supporting biological parents when their children are in care helps the whole family.  Join us as we give real life examples of shared parenting between foster parents and biological parents.

We will meet from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM for training and from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM for support group.   Upon completion 2 hours of training credit will be received.

I am a Family Advocate/Trainer. I have been with FAC since April 2022. I have a bachelor's of Social Work from University of Central Missouri. I am a foster/adoptive parent and have 4 amazing kiddos who are 12, 5, 3 and 2. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and exploring new places with my children.
