Description:

This virtual group will provide support to Foster/adopt families who just want to connect with other foster/adopt families for community and understanding. It is so important for foster/adopt families to connect, support, and mentor each other. This group provides a safe place to do so.  

This training provides a thoughtful and in-depth examination of rejection as it relates to adoption and permanency.  We will explore how experiences of rejection can affect attachment, behavior, and emotional development. The course will offer strategies to support healing, trust, and lasting connections. 

We will meet from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM for training and from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM for support group.   Upon completion 2 hours of training credit will be received.

I am a Family Advocate/Trainer. I have been with FAC since April 2022. I have a bachelor's of Social Work from University of Central Missouri. I am a foster/adoptive parent and have 4 amazing kiddos who are 12, 5, 3 and 2. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and exploring new places with my children.
