Description:

As foster, and adoptive parents, we often need to have really tough conversations with the kids in our care. These discussions range from their birth family, abuse they have endured, racial, or sexual discrimination they have experienced, sexual acting out, and so much more. This training will provide practical tools to handle these tough conversations to better prepare you ahead of time.  

This class will be IN PERSON on Monday, July 21, 2025 from 6-8:00 PM at the Poplar Bluff branch (2198 N. Westwood Blvd, Poplar Bluff, MO 63901.  Upon completion you will receive 2 hours of training credit.

Trisha Lambert

Trisha Lambert is the Family Advocate and Training Specialist for FosterAdopt Connect in Poplar Bluff. Trisha brings many years of lived experience navigating the child welfare system, including parenting a child with special needs. Trisha's own journey of fostering to adopt has left her uniquely equipped to understand both perspectives, and to serve as a steadfast bridge for families in the midst of their journey. Trisha has three daughters. Trisha enjoys outdoor activities with her family, spending time with friends, and reading.
