Description:

Welcome to Southwest Missouri Foster Parent Support Group. This group is for foster, adoptive, kinship, and guardianship families. Parenting can be very difficult. Children that have experienced trauma may need additional parenting techniques. Being able to share our experiences with other families that truly understand what we are going through can be very helpful. We want you to know that you are not alone.

Navigating the child welfare system can be tricky and overwhelming. As a foster or adoptive parent, are you feeling stuck on a case? You may have a question about the child welfare system? Wishing you had someone at the table on your side? A family advocate may be very beneficial for you.

We will meet from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM for training and from 10:00 PM to 11:00 AM for support.   Please note you will only receive 1 hour of training credit for the first hour.
