Description:

This group will provide support to Foster/adopt families who just want to connect with other foster/adopt families. It is so important for foster/adopt families to connect, support, and mentor each other. This group provides a safe place to do so.  We will meet VIRTUALLY on the 3rd Wednesday of the month from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM (CST). Upon completion 1 hour of training credit will be received.

Casie Davidson

Casie has been a family advocate with FosterAdopt Connect since 2017 at the HQ location. Casie is also the facilitator for support groups at FosterAdopt Connect in Missouri. Casie and her husband James, were foster parents for four years and have fostered over 45 children. They have 9 children 3 of which were adopted from foster care. They also have 2 grandchildren. Casie is passionate about supporting foster/adopt families and the children that come into their homes.

April Mattis

April is a Family Advocate at Foster Adopt Connect working at headquarters since June of 2022. April worked for KVC (KS) for three years, training, licensing, and providing support services for foster families. April then worked as an intern for NKC school district, while completing her MSW and working as a stay at home mom and in-home childcare provider. April and her husband Tim have four children and live on a farm in Kansas City, MO. April recognizes the importance of making sure families have the support they need to provide excellent care for the children in their homes. April hopes to assist families in navigating the child welfare system and advocating effectively for the children in their care.
