Description:

This class fulfills the current 9-hour requirement for relative and kinship providers to become a licensed relative provider.  You must attend all 9 hours to receive credit.  This training is an adaptation of the Foster STARS/Adopt STARS resource training curriculum published by the Child Welfare League of America.  The guide is used as pre-service training for caretakers who already have a meaningful relationship with the child to be placed.  The relationship can be a connection by family or by association (a teacher, neighbor, etc.).  If you are interested in taking this course, you need to have your licensing worker register you.
